Orlando Weather

What is the Weather Like in Orlando?

If you are headed toward Orlando, Florida, you already know about all of the things to do there. But what will you do in the unlikely event that the weather isn’t just what you expected? It is always good to have a plan, so let’s talk about Orlando’s Weather.

First, you can begin with the assumption that the fall and winter months are going to be very, very pleasant! After all, the average temperature in Orlando is nearly perfect at 72 degrees Fahrenheit. It is sunny 70 percent of the time. Does it get any better than that?

During the fall months, the average temperature varies from about 52-90 degrees. So, you may need a light jacket, but you won’t need a parka! Don’t worry too much about hurricanes either. Orlando is not prone to the hurricanes other regions of Florida face.

If it rains, you may see thunderstorms, but don’t worry, if the weather isn’t perfect outdoors, you won’t necessarily see the theme parks roll up the sidewalks. Instead, they shift the fun indoors and you can spend your day enjoying one of the many shows or indoor rides available. In other words, a bit of weather won’t necessarily spoil your day.

There are other things to do in Orlando too. You can head to one of the area malls or spend a wonderful afternoon at the Orlando Science Center. But, since it is sunny so often, you will probably find yourself outdoors at a theme park like Universal Studios Orlando, Sea World or Walt Disney World. Wherever you go in Orlando, you going to like what you see and love the weather.

When are the best months to go and avoid the weather? November through February, Orlando only averages 3 inches of rain per month, so it is quite likely that you will have a great time in the sun during the long winter months!

So, come to Orlando! Enjoy some fun in the sun and leave the winter blues to someone else. Even if it happens to rain on your parade for a short while, there’s plenty to do indoors until the sun shines again. This time of year, you won’t have to wait long to be back outdoors and enjoying the many world class theme parks and attractions that have made Orlando a desirable vacation destination for folks from around the world!

Where is Clermont?

Where is Clermont FL?

Clermont is a unique little town just 40 minutes west of downtown Orlando located between Lake Minnehaha and Lake Minneola. It’s just west of Winter Garden and east of Groveland and southwest of Minneola Florida. We are about 40 minutes from the Green Swamp Wildlife Management Area and just 20 minutes to Lake Apopka.  Clermont Florida basically sits right in the middle of the Panhandle of Florida about equal distance to the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. We are about an hour and a half in either direction to ocean water but there are dozens, let me rephrase that, hundreds of smaller lakes, reservoirs, creeks, and “ponds” all around Clermont Florida.

One of the nicest things about Clermont Florida is that it’s not on a major freeway such as the Florida’s Turnpike or Highway 91. We are on a smaller state highway, (50) that runs East and West from downtown Orlando to the Gulf of Mexico through the Richloam Wildlife Management Area. Because of this, we are a smaller town with the tightknit community among dozens of neighborhood and smaller pockets of homes.

Because the town literally sits between two smaller lakes with dozens of even smaller lakes within the city limits, finding a home on the waterfront is really quite reasonable. Homes in Clermont Florida can start at around $100,000 and range in price up to $500,000, this being the average, and of course there are more in the higher and luxury markets if you’re interested.

We love living, working, and playing around Clermont Florida. If you’d like to know more about where is Clermont Florida simply contact me for a personal tour. I would love to show you any of the open houses, homes for sale, waterfront houses and more in Clermont Florida. Thank you JenyPlante for the Image

Clermont Community Center

NEW CLERMONT FL COMMUNITY CENTER UNDER CONSTRUCTION

If you’ve lived in Clermont FL for some time, you’re probably familiar with the Jenkins Auditorium located next to Clermont City Hall.
Jenkins Auditorium hosted many events. Events such as, school functions, holiday parties, private events, Chamber events are some that I could think of.

Clermont Community Center
It’s time for Jenkins Auditorium to retire!! As you could imagine building is old in age and needs updating and repairs.
Earlier this year in May 2012, there was a groundbreaking event for our new Clermont Community Center located on the corner of Montrose Street and Lake Avenue. New 10,000sq feet building is expected to be completed in early 2013.
It’s amazing how fast the building is coming along.

New Clermont Community Center will have 2000sq feet space for South Lake Chamber of Commerce, full kitchen, offices and space for rent.

Next time you drive through Clermont and wonder what that construction is on the corner of Montrose Street, it is our New Clermont Community Center.
